RAMRush is a free utility designed to free up memory and optimize its use, in order to improve the performance of the system and keep it working efficiently. This program is recommended to all users, but specially to those with none or little experience with these things, as there are no complex settings or adjustments to make. It has a very small window that stays in the system tray controlling memory usage. This window is divided into two sections, showing the real-time CPU and RAM memory use. From there, only clicking on 'start optimizing' the program will start freeing up memory. We can perform this optimization via the context menu, and also using a customizable hotkey. From the options window, we can configure the program in several ways. For example, we can choose to start RAMRush at Windows Startup, and we can also have the program to notify us when it is performing an optimization task, for which it will use notification balloons. Also, checking the box 'optimize', we can set the program to start freeing up memory automatically when the total RAM available is less than 8%.
The interface of the program is in English, but there is a number of language packs to download from its website.
